This page allows you to see the effect of various joint parameters on the shear stress and strain of the adhesive layer in a lap shear joint. Adherends are aluminum and are linear elastic (no yielding). The adhesive is representative of a certain epoxy adhesive at room temperature and is modelled with an elastic-plastic material model. This model does not consider the effects of peel.
